Paying in Full as the Ticket Into Colleges

The New York Times reports here that many colleges are giving larger admission advantages to wealthy students than they have in the past, just because their parents can afford to pay full price.

In my opinion, this is potentially dangerous behavior because it can make college less available to smart low-income students who could benefit the country if they had access to college. In addition, colleges are non-profit entities that receive tax benefits and should therefore be open to smart students of all income levels.
